Beef Stroganoff ( 8 serving)

Well I do hope you Enjoy this wonderful recipe that you would normally find when you order
from a restaurant, if you have any question don't hesitate, because these recipe are translated from french to English, Enjoy.

Ingredients


Clear butter ........3 ounces
Beef ................48 ounces
Salt ................1 teaspoon
Black pepper ........1/4 teaspoon
Chopped mushroom ....8 ounces
Chopped onion .......1 ounce
Dry white wine ......2 ounces
Brown sauce .........8 ounces
Double cream ........12 ounces
Sour cream ..........5 ounces


Method:

1. Cut beef in strips
2. Cook Beef strips in butter
3. Season beef
4. Heat onion and mushroom then add to beef
5. Shower with wine and let heat till liquid is at half
6. Add sauce, cream and sour cream, and stir occasionally
7. Serve

Note: Beef stroganoff is often served with beef noodle

WHO LIKES SMORES

Well I do, and not only I like them but I help myself every months, summer or winter, I call them the four season smores, reason is I make them in the microwave and have them while watching a movie or reading a book in the comfort of my home.
All you need to do is to get graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate, the you take half of the graham cracker add a marshmallow on top and microwave for 20 to 25 minute, take it out place chocolate and the other half of the graham cracker on top and smooch together and "voila"! you have the four season smore, If you feel like it you can add other ingredient to it, like whip cream, Ice cream and fruits, use your imagination and make you smores the way you like it.
That will be it for now but will soon come on every other day and post a recipe from the culinary arts cookbook, so you will be able to eat restaurant food at home. don't miss out.
All you will need is a scale for food, measuring cups, bolls, spatula, measuring spoon and pots and pans, also the desire to cook, as all the recipe I'll be posting, well usually you would learn at the college or a restaurant is you ever worked as a cook professionally

Food & Thoughts

Who needs hamburger helper these day, all you need to do is go to the store, get a few boxes of store brand macoronie and cheese, any kind of meat, doesn't allways have to be groundbeef, cook the meat with any kind of steak spices and mix to the Mac & Cheese, yummy better then Hamburger Helper you can buy, and cheap, don't forget that you can mix anything you like into the Mac & Cheese and you will be surprise what delicious meals you can make and easy and fast. Also make good left over.

Try something new once in a while and share your thoughts and recipe to get someone else that doesn't live in you home, you will get a very honest answer to what it tast like and if its good, I try this once in a while.

Good Food

Don't we all look for good food, a lot of my friends question me alot on food, and I'm always happy o answer there question, today, for exemple, someone at work was eating canned turkey and ham, he said he didn't have much time to cook since he's been on is own, so another coworker asked me to help, but I didn't really want to budge in and make him feel bad, so all I did was to insert a few pointer in a conversation with the people at the table with quick meals Ideas.

I told them for instant one quick meal for breakfast, just beat eggs, ham or other meat, vegies of liking and spices, all together in a bowl, then in a pan for stove top and cook on low medium heat until your liking, or if you prefer the microwave, empty mix in a safe microwavable dish twice the size you need for the mix and cook on medium power heat until mix is cooked, and voila this can take about 15 to 20 minute and you have a meal.

The other meal you can make is what I like to call (macaroni surprise caserol), all you need is macaronie, can meat and mayonnaise, cook noodles until al dente then mix meat and mayonnaise with the macaronie and Voila a delicious meal.

French Bread

For those who like freanch bread and can't get enough at the restaurant, well how about making your own and at the same cost as making home made bread, go ahead and enjoy;

Pain Francais:

Step 1:

2 tablespoon of Yeast
1 teaspoon of Sugar
4 cups of Water @ 110 degree

Step 2:

8 cups of Flour (of choice)
4 teaspoon of Salt




Preparation:

- In a big mixing bowl, pour the sugar & yeast in the hot water and let stand till the yeast start to
evaporates.
- while waiting for the yeast, sugar & water, mix together the flour and salt until well mixed,
and when the yeast is ready, pour gradually the flour mix to the water and yeast.
- work the dough with your hands about 10 minutes or until the flour as disappear.
- pour flour on a table or counter so you can work the dough for another 10 minutes, then put it back
in the bowl to rise for 20 minutes.
- Once the dough is done rising separate in ball about the size of a baseball.
- roll in the shape you want, short or long, brush top of dough with egg white and let stand for 5
minutes before putting pan in the oven.
- cook 15 to 20 minutes or until bread is a golden color at 375 degrees .
- et voila, pain francais,

New face lift on the Smileydad blog

Hope everyone will like the new look, sorry been gone so long, you know summer, lots to do and so little time, I've become a member of the Health and Wellness at work committee and its very demanding.

I did go with Smileymama suggestion and went with " The French Chef " since I am French after all, what I'll be doing on this blog from now on will be about good living and food, who wouldn't agree with these two topic, cause I do, the wife nagging thing was very tempting but I love my wife to mush to think of her like that, beside she gave me a good Idea about this blog after all.

Well this is it for me tonight as I put a lot of work in the face lift for this page hope you like it, and feel free to talk about good health, food, living, food and other food, ha ha ha!!!, talk to you all later.

Promotion update

Wow, that was alot of stuff to get used to, it was like starting all over again, looking up the processes, job aid and let me tell you, once all sunk in the brain it gets pretty fun, I think I will like this new position for a very long time, got a lot of new stuff and new ways to help the cst.

Today is Saturday and this day is starting on the weird side, with a cat that plays fetch and a neighbor's cat waiting at the back door for our cat to go out and play, guest those cats have a lot like humans sometime.

Oh well I'm out of coffee, time for a refill, and also to let you know this is it for today, I'm not writting as much as I used to but I do once in a while hoping I still have readers, I know this is suppose to be like a diary on the net, but I can't help wanting people to come read I guest, maybe I should change the name of this blog, there's an Idea, if you are reading this, send in your suggestion in the comment field and I will put it to a vote to decide the new name.

T.G.I.F was good to me

Has you all know now I've been working in my new position a week now, and part of this new position is to promote our Wireless phone and sell them, out of the 4 that got the promotion to this department I was behind the other 3 by 3 days, and yesterday on T.G.I.F, I cough all 3 of them in one afternoon, I love this new work.

tonight is my last evening shift for a while, thank godness, I've been looking foward to this all week, don't get me wrong, I like working evening, but the thing is I hardly see my kids, as they are at school during the day and when they get home I'm gone to work till 10:00pm and when I get home there in bed as there's school the next day, I'm glad that I have a chance to see them until 2pm today before I go to work, because my day off is Sunday and then work again on Monday.

That remind 's me, that monday evening I will be working on 2 recipe of Beef Stroganoff sauce and Spegetti Sause for 100 people for a special occasion on Tuesday, hat will be fun, as I studied at a college to become a chef, but there is no good restaurant to work at aroud here, but I'm planning to open a business when I retirs in about 15 years from now at the job I do right now, cause I love cooking and the place I work at are aware that I'm a cook and asked me to help them.

Well this is it for now, got to go get that coffee and do a little house work to help smileymamat.

Snow Day

My lord there's a lot of snow this morning, started yesterday afternoon and kept going all night, its almost 12:00pm and its still snowing, kids are really happy that there's no school today, and that after the plow came to plow the driveway, left us with big hills to play on, hope that's what they'll do this afternoon, because if they stay in the house all day, I'll go nuts.

Well I guest I'll go cook lunch now, it will be nothing compare to the meal I was asked to do for my work place, as I'm on a Health and Wellness committee and I was trusted with two special recipes that I'll have to cook on Monday, to bring to work Tuesday and this is for 100 people, ouch, but I can do this with the help of my wife smilleymamat

Promotion

Tomorow I start my new position, and I cannot lie, I'm very nervous...
I've applied four time and finaly the fourth time was my lucky number, ofcourse I already know a little bit of the work that needs to be done, but there's a lot more to do.

I know that every one is happy for me, beside I will not just answer calls after calls all the time,
whitch is awsome, what I'm anxious for is when I finish the training for this new department and
put it in practice every day.

like almost a month ago I lost my Cell phone, and never could find it again, keep telling
smileymamat to stop at the local Phone dealer to pick me up a new one, and unfortunatly I will hve to
wait till the end of the month as there are other stuff more important at this time, but I still
feel empty without my phone.

me know as I'm trying to lose weight and I need all the help I can find,

Happy New Year Everyone

With 2006 the holliday over, I can now concentrate in the new year and new project. Just a couple days ago we had our chiminee replaced, the person who was getting the job done told me if I took care of removing the old chiminee myself, I would save $800 so told him sure I'll take that old thing down, as I was taking down the bricks one by one or by big peaces, I realise how lucky we were that it didn't colapse before we decided getting this project done, next it will be the downstairs Docs, I will install rock insallant above to asure that the heat is not to intence to the ceilling of the basement, then the Finally will be to finish the porch as soon the snow melts and the weather gets warm enough to work the wood. After those projects are done, we will start new ones, like the mud room, the floors, paint the walls and the siding on the house and ofcourse the windows and doors. I guest I have a very busy year in front of me, not to mention that I will be starting to go to a Gym this year to get back in top shape, well I guest this is it for me in the beginning of this wonderfull new year to look foward to.
