French Bread

For those who like freanch bread and can't get enough at the restaurant, well how about making your own and at the same cost as making home made bread, go ahead and enjoy;

Pain Francais:

Step 1:

2 tablespoon of Yeast
1 teaspoon of Sugar
4 cups of Water @ 110 degree

Step 2:

8 cups of Flour (of choice)
4 teaspoon of Salt




Preparation:

- In a big mixing bowl, pour the sugar & yeast in the hot water and let stand till the yeast start to
evaporates.
- while waiting for the yeast, sugar & water, mix together the flour and salt until well mixed,
and when the yeast is ready, pour gradually the flour mix to the water and yeast.
- work the dough with your hands about 10 minutes or until the flour as disappear.
- pour flour on a table or counter so you can work the dough for another 10 minutes, then put it back
in the bowl to rise for 20 minutes.
- Once the dough is done rising separate in ball about the size of a baseball.
- roll in the shape you want, short or long, brush top of dough with egg white and let stand for 5
minutes before putting pan in the oven.
- cook 15 to 20 minutes or until bread is a golden color at 375 degrees .
- et voila, pain francais,
